Agarwood wax, also known as boya, is derived from the sapwood or white wood of our cultivated agarwood trees in Assam. We use traditional distillation units that operate using firewood for hydrodistillation to obtain this precious material. Initially, it’s a thick and sticky liquid, but over time, it solidifies and transforms into a wax-like substance. The resulting boya agarwood oil typically exhibits a color spectrum ranging from light yellow to brown. This unique and natural production method ensures that the wax retains the precious aromatic qualities associated with agarwood, making it a valuable and versatile product.
